ELECTROWETTING DISPLAY DEVICE AND FABRICATION METHOD OF THE SAME

PURPOSE: An electrowetting display device and a method for fabricating the same is provided to reduce cell gap by gradually increasing the thickness of a color filter in a pixel region and forming a high black fluid layer compared to the distance between the color filter and the upper surface of a first substrate. CONSTITUTION: A black fluid layer is provided on a pixel region between a first and a second substrate(100,200) and moves according to the voltage difference of reference voltage and gradation voltage. A color filter(400) is formed on one surface of the second substrate adjacent to the black fluid layer. The color filter has first thickness in a part corresponding to the first electrode and second thickness in a part corresponding to the second electrode. The first thickness is greater than the second thickness.
