PURPOSE: A terminal is provided to form a groove in the inside of a wire barrel unit of the terminal and form a protrusion in the inside of the groove, thereby destroying an oxide film of a core wire by an entrance edge of the groove when the core wire is compressed. CONSTITUTION: Heat of grooves(17) of a barrel unit(13) is parallel to an extension direction of a wire and has a predetermined angle for the wire. The heat of a groove is perpendicular to the extension direction of the wire or has a predetermined angle for a perpendicular direction. An entrance edge of the groove is formed with an ellipse shape. Long axis length of the entrance edge of the groove which is located in both ends of the barrel unit is longer than long axis length of the entrance edge of the groove which is located in a middle unit of the barrel unit. A contact protrusion(22) is formed inside the groove.
