A machine support adapted to provide for tensioning of the belt drive from a motor M, the motor is mounted upon a platform 10 which is slidably adjustable along side rails 1 on a base F by means of a screw 20 engaging in a screwed bore of a lug 17 upstanding from a plate 3 connecting the rails 1 and in a clearance slot 18a in a pendant lug 18 from the platform 10. The lug 17 is mounted in the plate 3 so that it can be pivoted to disengage the screw from the slot 18a of lug 18 which is open at one side to allow of rapid movement of the motor when required.
