<p>The device (1) has a transmitter (3) in frictional contact with a to-be driven element (5) i.e. round bar, and contacting a drive element (4) over a front surface (6). The transmitter is in contact with a spring element (8) over another front surface (7). The drive element and the spring element are supported at a housing (2) in a direction parallel to an expansion direction of the to-be driven element. The transmitter is surrounded by a pretension element (9) that is C-shaped, in sections such that the pretension element is spaced apart from the housing. The spring element is a plate spring or a spring washer. The transmitter is in a form of a circle segment or a C-shaped portion.
