PURPOSE: A solidification briquette and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to have excellent initial strength expression, and to reduce the manufacturing cost by using the solidification briquette. CONSTITUTION: A solidification briquette includes by-product steel, inorganic solidifying agent of 6 to 12wt% for the by-product steel of 100wt%, and bentonite 0.4 to 9.6wt%. The by-product steel is at least one of steel sludge and steel dust. The inorganic solidifying agent is blast furnace slag powder and slag cement. The blast furnace slag powder has the average granularity of 4000cm^2/g or more. The blast furnace slag powder has the weight ratio of 0.25 to 4.0 for the slag cement. The solidification briquette has the initial compressive strength of 40Kg/cm2 or more.
