PURPOSE: A light emitting device driving apparatus and a method thereof are provided to be applied to various kinds of light emitting devices by setting a proper reference current according as a light emitting device is changed. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting device driving apparatus includes a voltage detection part(100), a current detection part(200), and a control part(300). The voltage detection part detects a driving voltage provided from a driving part(10) of a light emitting part with a plurality of light emitting devices. The current detection part detects a driving current flowing in the light emitting part. The control part sets a reference current according to the detected voltage from the voltage detection part, and controls the driving part according to the reference current and the detected current from the current detection part.
