WIRELESS TERMINAL AND METHOD FOR CONTEXT-AWARE HANDOFF BETWEEN HETEROGENEOUS WIRELESS NETWORKS

PURPOSE: A wireless terminal executing situation recognition handoff between a heterogeneous wireless communication network and a method thereof are provided to select a wireless network from the accessible wireless networks based on a situation by using the wireless communication. CONSTITUTION: A first network module(31) connects to a first network which is relatively wide. A second network module(32) connects to a second network which is relatively narrow. The second network module measures the strength of a second network wireless signal. A mobile sensor(33) determines the movement of a user. A handoff determination unit(34) determines handoff which is different from a network connected to a current network based on the wireless signal strength of the second network.
