PURPOSE: A visual effect providing method in a portable terminal and a device thereof are provided to increase reality according to function operation by granting an interface of an analog type. CONSTITUTION: A touch panel(130) receives a touch event based on multi touch and single touch and a display unit(110) displays an animation effect changed according to touch events. A storage unit(200) stores setting information for animation effect display according to the touch events. A control unit(300) controls a garbage object transfer of a screen interface in response to a first touch event detected from a first screen interface. The control unit controls switch to a second screen interface by moving a garbage object in response to a second touch event detected from the garbage object.
