PURPOSE: An imaging apparatus, an image compensation method, and a computer readable recording medium are provided to continuously pick up a plurality of images with reciprocity displacement, thereby compensating the degradation of image quality due to the defects of an image sensor. CONSTITUTION: An imaging unit(140) uses an imaging device to continuously pick up a plurality of images with reciprocity displacement. A storage unit(130) stores the defective area of the imaging device. An image compensator(170) compensates the defective area in one image among the plurality of images by using other images which are picked up.
