WATER COOLING DEVICE OF PROPULSION CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR RAIL VEHICLES

PURPOSE: A water cooling device of a propulsion control system for a railway vehicle is provided to obtain the reliability of cooling the propulsion control system and to minimize the size of a cooling device of the large-capacity propulsion control system. CONSTITUTION: A water cooling device of a propulsion control system for a railway vehicle comprises a cooling unit(100), a radiator(200), and a circulation pump(300). The cooling unit is formed of a thermal conductive material for receiving heat generated by semiconductor switching elements(11,21) and a thermal medium for cooling the generated heat in the inside. The radiator is connected to the cooling unit for delivering the thermal medium to the cooling unit. The radiator emits the heat of the thermal medium heated in the cooling unit into the air and cooling the cooling unit. The circulation pump is connected to the radiator for delivering the thermal medium to the radiator, thereby supplying the thermal medium cooled by the radiator to the cooling unit.
