PURPOSE: An image display device and an operating method thereof are provided to display a 3D image more stably and accurately. CONSTITUTION: A control unit receives a 3D image signal through an external device interface unit or a network interface unit (S1110). When the received 3D image signal is a 3D image signal of a film source, the control unit controls to change a frame rate of the received 3D image signal (S1120). The control unit controls to mix a left eye image and a right eye image per line on the basis of the 3D image signal whose frame rate is changed, and then to display the mixed image on a display (S1130).
