Apparatus for blowing dusting powders on to crops comprises a cylindrical casing 1 housing a motor 6 driving a fan 8 and having a funnelshaped top wall 4 with a central aperture, and a separable container 13 for the dusting material with a funnel-shaped base 14 to seat on to the top wall 4 and provide a passage 15 for the air blown by the fan to pass into the container and force the powder through an outlet passage 20. The bottom plate 9b of the container is formed with air inlet apertures covered by a filter. An agitator 17 in the container 13 is driven by the fan shaft 18 and has a collar 19 cooperating with an upstanding collar 16 around the passage 15 to allow the passage of the blowing air while preventing the passage of dust. The outlet passage 20 is controlled by a valve 21 operated by an external handle 24. |
