<p>An electronic control device (5) automatically stops an engine (1) when automatic stop conditions are established while the engine is being operated, and automatically starts the engine (1) when automatic start conditions are established after the engine is stopped. Further, an air amount estimate value (mcrnk), which represents the estimated air amount in a cylinder, is calculated on the basis of the operation state of the engine. A torque target value (TRtrg), which represents the target value of torque of the engine when the engine (1) is automatically started by the combustion of gas mixture of fuel and air corresponding to the air amount estimate value (mcrnk), is determined on the basis of the air amount estimate value (mcrnk). Further, when the engine is automatically started, a main injection timing target value (TMtrg) is determined such that the torque of the engine reaches the torque target value (TRtrg).</p> |
