A golf putter comprising a putter head block 1 with a putting face 11 and a mounting portion 12 on an opposed side thereof and a transparent aiming block 2 attached to the mounting portion 12 wherein the aiming block 2 has an aiming mark 21. The aiming block 2 may abut the mounting portion 12 and be attached with screws, adhesive or a plug joint. Alternatively the aiming portion 2 may be press fitted into an opening in the mounting portion 12. The aiming mark 21 may be a straight dent or rib. Also disclosed is an arrangement with a transparent putter head with an aiming mark on it.
