PURPOSE: An imaging apparatus, an imaging composition providing method, and a computer readable recording medium are provided to calculate an optimal imaging composition by using a wide angle image, and to supply composition guide information by using the calculated optimal imaging composition. CONSTITUTION: An imaging unit(140) picks up an image. A control unit(180) produces a wide angle image by the control of the imaging unit. A composition calculator calculates an optimal imaging composition by using the produced wide angle image. An user interface unit(120) provides the composition guide information for picking up the image in the calculated optimal imaging composition.
