PURPOSE: A precipitate collecting apparatus for a dental hospital is provided to block bad smell coming up from a settling tank or a discharging part at an outlet port of the settling tank by a U-shaped trap installed at an inlet port of the settling tank, and to collect precious metals discharged from patients in the settling tank. CONSTITUTION: A precipitate collecting apparatus for the dental hospital comprises a settling tank(1), a U-shaped trap(2) installed at an inlet port of the settling tank, and a discharging pipe(3) installed at an outlet port of the settling tank. An outlet bottom(21) of the trap is formed lower than an outlet bottom(11) of the settling tank. The trap is shaped into an elephant nose shape. The settling tank is formed into an elephant body shape. The discharging pipe of the settling tank has a shape of an elephant tale.
