PURPOSE: A light emitting device is provided to reduce loss due to the current of an AC power source, and to improve luminous efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A light emitting structure includes a first semiconductor structure(120) and a second semiconductor structure(130). A first electrode(140) is electrically connected to a second and a fourth semiconductor layer(126,136). A second electrode(150) is electrically connected to a first and a third semiconductor layer(122,132). A current blocking layer(160) is arranged between the second and the third semiconductor layer. The current blocking layer has high resistance compared to at least one of the second and the third semiconductor layer.
