PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can prevent a flaw or the like from occurring between a photoreceptor drum and a transfer belt when it is started or when it is stopped. SOLUTION: The printer 100 includes a DC brushless motor for transmitting rotation to the photoreceptor drum based on feedback control, and a stepping motor for transmitting rotation to a transfer belt based on a control signal. The printer 100 includes a target speed calculation means 605 for calculating target speed that is rotational speed of the DC brushless motor synchronizing with rotational speed of the stepping motor based on the control signal when increasing or decreasing the rotational speed of the DC brushless motor together with the rotational speed of the stepping motor, and a feedback control means 606 for controlling rotation of the DC brushless motor based on present rotational speed and the target speed.
