The method involves receiving a tag information (22) from a contactless radio frequency identification tag (1), where the information identifies a function to be triggered. A function triggering request is transmitted (23) by a radio communication terminal (2) e.g. mobile phone, to a configuration device (3) of a domestic gateway (4) through a radio communication network only if the terminal receives a validation signal through a man-machine interface. The trigger request is propagated (25) by the device to the gateway through a network of operator. The function is triggered by the gateway.
