<p>The method involves digitalizing a document (D), reducing a resolution of the document and converting chromatic composition of pixels of the document into gray levels. Bounding boxes are extracted and classified as image or text box from a set of criteria applied to a histogram to distribute intensities of different chromatic components of pixels of each zone of the document. Processing masks are created, where image zones and text zones of the document are defined by the masks. The zones are selectively processed by the masks, where the processed zones are recombined in a final document (Df). An independent claim is also included for a document reproducing system.</p> |
