ZINC FINGER NUCLEASE FOR TARGETING MYOSTATIN AND USE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A zinc finger nuclease which targets myostatin is provided to knock out a myostatin gene on a zebra fish genome, and to quickly growth an individual. CONSTITUTION: A zinc finger nuclease which targets myostatin is a fusion protein with a zinc finger domain and a nucleotide cleavage domain and has a cleavage activity by being bound to a myostatin(mstn) gene. The cleaved mstn cannot express C-terminal of myostatin. The zinc finger domain contains 2-10 zinc finger modules containing sequences selected from the group consisting in sequence numbers 1-9. A method for knocking out mstn comprises a step of step the zinc finger nuclease. A method for producing an animal, exclusive of human, with improved growth rate or increased individual size contains mstn-knocked out cells.
