A pipe joint (10) has a body (12), and an annular packing (26) is mounted to the opening (20) of the body into which a fluid tube (18) is inserted. The packing (26) is provided with: a body section (34) having a substantially rectangular cross-sectional shape; and a seal section (38) protruding in the radial direction from the inner peripheral surface of the body section (34). The seal section (38) is formed at substantially the center of the body section (34) in the widthwise direction thereof and is formed in a triangular cross-sectional shape tapering to the inner peripheral side. When the fluid tube (18) is inserted in the opening (20), the seal section (38) of the packing (26) makes sliding contact with the outer peripheral surface of the fluid tube (18). |
