PURPOSE: A stator core for a spindle motor is provided to wind a coil around teeth into a shape close to a circle in order to generate a uniform magnetic flux density. CONSTITUTION: A stator core for a spindle motor includes a core-back(151a) and teeth(151b). A through-hole is formed on the center of the annular core-back. The teeth radially protrude from the core-back outwards, and provide spaces for winding a coil. The teeth have cross-sections shaped into n-polygons, and the n represents the number of sides. The coil is circularly wound around the teeth. |
