PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A FORMED METALLIC WORK PIECE WITH ARMORING

PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing formed metal work piece including armor is provided to enhance energy efficiency and secure excellent mechanical properties at the same time. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing formed metal work piece which includes a trim comprises the following steps: providing an armoring blank (1); providing a basic piece blank (2); arranging the armoring blank on the basic piece blank; producing a blank (3) equipped with an armored surface section; manufacturing near-net shape work piece contour by a process selected from a group including forging, upsetting, and extrusion; and manufacturing near-net shape armor basic work piece by performing all the processes within cold, half-warm or warm temperature range.
