PURPOSE: A digital broadcast reception apparatus and a method thereof are provided to reflect the preference of a user sufficiently, based on the photographing image of a still image when recommending a program. CONSTITUTION: A program designation information analyzer(24) extracts a keyword from the program information of a digital broadcasting. In reference to the map information of a geographic location and range, a location duplication estimator(33) obtains the geographic range which corresponds to the extracted keyword. The location duplication estimator evaluates the overlapping degree of the photographing location range which has a priority determined by the geographic range and a still image additional information analyzer(13). A recommendation program analyzer(34) sets up a priority of a program which includes a keyword in which the evaluated overlapping degree corresponds to the map range, which exceeds the predetermined range.
