PURPOSE: An azeotrope-like composition materially has no CFCs, HCFCs, and HFCs are provided to have a very low global warming potential and a low ozone depletion potential and to have relatively regular boiling characteristics. CONSTITUTION: A composition comprises an azeotrope-like mixture of 3 components. The 3-component azeotrope-like composition is necessarily constructed with 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene, trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, and a third component selected from the group consisting of methanol, ethanol, n-pentane, and isohexane. The composition comprises about 80-99.9 wt% of trans-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropane, about 0.05-15 wt% of methanol, about 0.05-10 wt% of trans-1,2-dichloroethylene. Also, a heat transfer composition is comprised at an amount of at least about 50wt% of the composition. |
