PURPOSE: A device capable of searching an available service and a method thereof are provided to efficiently search a device in the vicinity based on a desired service. CONSTITUTION: A D2D(Device to Device) connection unit(420) transmits a service search request including information about a target service to devices in the vicinity. The D2D connection unit receives a service search response from an opponent device supporting the target service in the devices in the vicinity. A control unit(440) analyzes service information of the opponent device included in the service search response. The control unit selects the opponent device supporting the target service based on the service information analysis result. The control unit performs the target service by performing session connection with the selected opponent device.
