The power converter circuit (2) has sub-modules (6,16) that are provided with input-side single-phase half-bridge and load-side single-phase full-bridge. An intermediate circuit capacitor is connected between the half-bridge and the full bridge. The control devices (4,14) are provided for the direct control of the full bridge and the half-bridge of the sub-module. An independent claim is included for electromotor of vehicle.
