METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE STERILE CONNECTION OF PIPES

The method involves heating separation regions of hoses (1a, 1b), and mechanically separating the hoses by exerting tensile and/or shear force on the hoses such that each hose is separated into two sections at the heated regions. Ends of one of the sections of one of the hoses mechanically contact with ends of one of the sections of the other hose after separating the hoses. The mechanical contact of the ends is produced such that the ends exhibit temperature suitable for forming a firmly bonded connection when the ends come in mechanical contact with each other. An independent claim is also included for a device for sterile connection of hoses, comprising receiving devices.
