PURPOSE: An airbag device is provided to prevent the damage of a strap restraining device by separating a variable strap from a connecting strap when an airbag is expanded. CONSTITUTION: An airbag device comprises an airbag cushion(20), a strap(60), and a strap restraining device(70). The strap includes a variable strap(62) and a connecting strap(64). The strap restraining device is connected to the strap and restrains or releases the movement of the strap according to the physique of a passenger. Both ends of the variable strap are connected to the airbag cushion and the length is extended by an expansive force of the airbag cushion. One end of the connecting strap is connected between both ends of the variable strap and the other end is connected to the strap restraining device.
