<p>Preparing a hydroxy-amino polymer, comprises (a) reacting at least one Zerewitinoff-active hydrogen-atom bearing hydrogen-functional initiator compound with an unsaturated cyclic carboxylic acid anhydride to obtain a carboxyl-group bearing prepolymer, (b) reacting the prepolymer bearing carboxyl groups with at least one epoxide compound for obtaining a hydroxyl-bearing prepolymer, and (c) adding a primary amine and/or ammonia at the double bond of the hydroxyl-bearing prepolymer, which is obtained by the step (b). Preparing a hydroxy-amino polymer, comprises (a) reacting at least one Zerewitinoff-active hydrogen-atom bearing hydrogen-functional initiator compound with an unsaturated cyclic carboxylic acid anhydride to obtain a carboxyl-group bearing prepolymer, (b) reacting the prepolymer bearing carboxyl groups with at least one epoxide compound for obtaining a hydroxyl-bearing prepolymer, and (c) adding a primary amine and/or ammonia at the double bond of the hydroxyl-bearing prepolymer, which is obtained by the step (b), where the ratio between the amount of substance of the carboxylic acid anhydride and the number of Zerewitinoff-active hydrogen-atoms of the hydrogen-functional initiator compound is chosen, such that all the Zerewitinoff-active H-atoms of the hydrogen-functional initiator compound are reacted. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the hydroxy-amino polymer, obtainable by the above mentioned method, where the ratio between the amount of substance of the unsaturated cyclic carboxylic acid anhydride and the number of Zerewitinoff-active hydrogen-atoms of the hydrogen-functional initiator compound is at least 0.9:1, preferably at least 0.98:1; and (2) a polyurethane-urea polymer, obtainable by reacting a polyisocyanate with the above obtained hydroxy-amino polymer.</p> |
