The invention relates to a power providing managing unit (100) configured to select a power provider among a plurality of power providers (410-430), the selected power provider providing electric power to a power consumer (330, 340) of a user. The power managing unit comprises an interface (110) configured to receive a request for providing electric power to the power consumer (330, 340), the request containing information about power constraints of the power consumer (330, 340) of the user, and a control unit (120) configured to select a power provider for the power consumer (330, 340) from the plurality of power providers (410-430). The control unit is configured to select the power provider taking into account the information about the power constraints of the power consumer.
