PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a wholly aromatic liquid crystalline polyester resin is provided to obtain a wholly aromatic liquid crystalline polyester resin with high thermal stability and low gas generation. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a wholly aromatic liquid crystalline polyester resin comprises a step of acetylating a carboxylic anhydride by reaction of a carboxylic anhydride and aromatic monomer with one or more aromatic monomer; a step of synthesizing a wholly aromatic liquid crystal polyester prepolymer by reaction of an aromatic monomer and aromatic dicarboxylic acid; and a step of injecting the wholly aromatic liquid crystal polyester prepolymer into a solid phase polymerization reactor; and a step of increasing the temperature of the reactor with a rate of 2.5-3.5°C/min, at 310-340°C.
