Class 20(3) An edging strip 16 for a fixed or sliding window pane 18 comprises an elongated strip which is moulded e.g. from polyethylene and has a pane-receiving channel the side walls 22 of which carry, above reduced neck portions 26, angular opposed arms 30 which are angularly connected to inwardly extending projections 28. The arms 28 hinge downwardly about the neck portions 26 when a pane is introduced into the receiving channel and the upper ends 32 of the arms 30 are moved toward each other to make resilient sealing engagement with the pane. Shoulders 24 on the outer faces of the strip walls 22 engage beneath inturned upper edges 14 of the side walls 12 of a window frame 10.</p> |
