PURPOSE: A device for remotely controlling a manless moving object by using a virtual world and a method thereof are provided to remotely control the manless moving object according to topography or buildings by controlling the manless moving object according to a virtual object and displaying the virtual object on the virtual world. CONSTITUTION: A virtual object generating unit(220) generates a virtual object corresponding to a manless moving object in a virtual world generated based on the real world. A virtual object control unit(230) controls the operation of the virtual object according to a control command of a user. A manless moving object control unit(250) remotely controls a manless moving object according to the operation of the virtual object. A virtual world generating unit(210) generates a collision prevention area in an object included in the virtual world. If the virtual object enters the collision prevention area, the virtual object control unit provides a collision warning message to a user.
