PURPOSE: A device and a method for detecting vehicle damage using a wireless network are provided to actively obtain high efficacy images by transmitting information obtained from surrounding vehicles through communications to a driver. CONSTITUTION: A device for detecting vehicle damage using a wireless network comprises an impact detection sensor(110), a camera module(120), a speaker(130), a communication module(140), and a mobile terminal(200). The impact detection sensor senses an external impact applied to a vehicle and delivers a drive signal to the camera module when being applied with an impact. The camera module comprises a plurality of cameras mounted on every direction of the vehicle to collect images from every direction of the vehicle by controlling each camera. The speaker interacts with the mobile terminal and outputs audio data stored in a memory by interlocking with the CPU of the communication module. The communication module transmits images delivered from the camera module to the mobile terminal and delivers an interaction signal outputted from the mobile terminal according to the operation of a user. The mobile terminal comprises a communications module(210), an image processing module(220), and a user interaction module(230). The image processing module processes the image received through the communication module on a real time basis. The user interaction module interacts with the communication module mounted on the vehicle and is interlocked with the image processing module.
