A method of service braking a vehicle with a hydraulic displacement transmission consists of pressing a brake pedal, at kinematic separation of a transmission from an internal combustion engine, a hydraulic motor control by increasing its displacement from some value to the maximum, with adjustment, after reaching by the hydraulic motor of maximum value, of a hydraulic pump, reduction of its working volume from maximum to zero. Then automatic adjustment of displacement of the hydraulic motor is carried out from some value to maximum value, upon reaching which automatic adjustment of the hydraulic pump is performed, reducing its displacement from maximum to zero, and in the case of stopping the vehicle or reduction of the displacement of hydraulic pump to a value corresponding to the angular velocity of the wheels of vehicle during braking. |
