PURPOSE: An automatic recognizing method of a TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System) is provided to minimize the wrong recognition error of recognizing the TPMS sensor signals of other vehicles by recognizing the tire of a vehicle on the basis of tire pressure and acceleration information transmitted from a TPMS sensor. CONSTITUTION: An automatic recognizing method of a tire pressure monitoring system comprises the following steps: measuring tire pressure and acceleration of a vehicle using a TPMS sensor; generating an integral message for including tire pressure and acceleration information, and a tire ID using the TPMS sensor; transmitting the integral message to an electronic control unit using the TPMS sensor; determining if the message received by the electronic control unit includes acceleration information; extracting the integral message with the highest RSSI value in the integral message; and registering the extracted ID.
