PURPOSE: An error file processing device and a method thereof are provided to reduce play time of the next file by preventing the play of confirmed error files by storing error file information. CONSTITUTION: A database(120) stores an error check field including a file number, a file name, and an error value. An error file check unit(110) confirms an error value of the error check field corresponding to a file. The error file check unit generates the error check field including the file number, the file name, and the error value. The error file check unit determines the existence of the error check field in the database. If the error value is 'TRUE', the error file check unit delivers error information to a CD player. A display unit(130) displays an error file number and a file name on a user screen as a list type.
