A method for killing the western flower thrips in protected area includes a release of Macrolophus into a phytocenosis while settling 10 % protecting plants by the pest. Prior to the settling by the western flower thrips the crops being grown pots with tobacco plants are put out, in an equivalent of 1 per 5-, onto the leaves of which pieces of paper with eggs laid by angoumois grain moth are fixed, and onto stems thereof a sponge with saturated laurel oil. After that the predaceous bug Macrolophus is released, by 2-3 individuals per one tobacco plant, by hand, replacing the pieces of paper with the eggs of the grain moth and the oiled sponges in 3 days. |
