PURPOSE: A fracture toughness testing device is provided to process a task more conveniently and rapidly by mechanically and consecutively performing processes. CONSTITUTION: A fracture toughness testing device comprises a pair of lower anvils(12), an upper anvil(14), a loading unit, a chamber unit, and a cooling unit. The lower anvils are installed on a work table(10) by being spaced from each other and support the underside of a testing piece. The upper anvil is arranged on the central top surface of the work table and is in contact with the top surface of the testing piece. The loading unit is connected to the upper anvil and applies a load to the upper anvil, thereby forming back-up cracks and the displacement of an opening. The chamber unit selectively surrounds the testing piece on the work table. The cooling unit cools the testing piece arranged inside the chamber unit. |
