The invention relates to foundry engineering. A two-step method of forming structure of a casting includes the steps of preparing semi-liquid metal, in which a part of solid phase is formed with a cooling rate of 0.1-0.4 °C/s, and the remaining part of solid phase is formed at a cooling rate of 2.0-100 °C/s. The method allows to adjust the properties of a casting according to the needs of production. |
