<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses metal piece foreign matters from being adhered to a developing roll of a developing unit used for development, and a rotary developing device that is mounted on such an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A rotary developing device 60 is mounted on an image forming apparatus 1, and supports a plurality of developing units on a revolution orbit that surrounds a rotation shaft and causes a developing unit used for current development to revolve to reach a position facing an image holding body so as to develop an electrostatic latent image with toner. The rotary developing device 60 supports on the revolution orbit a foreign matter collecting member that magnetically collects magnetic foreign matters on a foreign matter receiving plate that is arranged beneath the rotary developing device 60 and receives foreign matters that has been spread and fallen to a position along the revolution orbit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
