<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking structure of an underground structure, which has security disabling a third party with no specialized tool from performing locking or unlocking from the outside of the underground structure, and which enables a worker to perform an unlocking or cover-opening operation from the inside of the underground structure in an emergency. <P>SOLUTION: An underground structure includes a cover body 3 and a receiving portion 2 for openably/closably receiving and placing the cover body 3. A lock unit 4, which is provided in a horizontally rotatable manner in the cover body 3, comprises a lock body 5, a latch 9 and an unlocking pin 12. The receiving portion 2 has an engaging protrusion 14 which is engaged with the latch 9.
