PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machining tool capable of favorably machining hard-to-machine materials such as cemented carbide, ceramics, cermet, and a mixture thereof.

SOLUTION: This machining tool 1 includes a machining part 2 and a shank 3. The machining part is formed by solidifying hard abrasive grains 4 in a columnar shape. The shank is joined to the machining part. The machining tool is configured so that the machining part is brought into contact with an object 10 to be machined while being rotated together with the shank so as to machine the object while the hard abrasive grains are worn down.
