<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, in conventional function executing devices, it was impossible to output descriptions of the functions that buttons or the like have, in order to assist visually impaired people. <P>SOLUTION: The function executing device comprises: a function management information storage unit for storing function management information containing a substance button, a substance button identifier, function information and functional description information in association with each other; an operation detection unit for detecting the substance button that receives operation and the received operation, and acquiring the substance button identifier; a functional description information acquisition unit for acquiring the functional description information that is associated with the substance button identifier acquired by the operation detection unit; an output unit for audio-outputting the functional description information; a function information acquisition unit for acquiring the function information that is associated with the substance button identifier acquired by the operation detection unit; and an execution unit for executing the function indicated by the function information.
