<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize plural zones of an image while improving the quality of image of the synthesizing part, after dividing the image into the zones for image-processing. <P>SOLUTION: In an image forming apparatus 1, a division boundary detection part 2 discriminates an image category of a processing target image for each determined zone, sets a division boundary in a horizontal or/and vertical directions on the basis of the image category, the division boundary with which deterioration of image quality of a synthesized image at a predetermined division boundary is suppressed in synthesizing an image after dividing the image into plural divided image at the division boundary; an image division part 3 divides the processing target image into divided images at the set division boundary and rotates, 90 degrees, the divided image divided at a horizontal-direction division boundary to constitute rotated divided images; image processing parts 4a through 4c apply prescribed image processing to the divided images; and an image synthesis part 5 synthesizes restored divided images to a single image on the basis of the image category discriminated by the division boundary detection part 2, where the restored divided images are produced by reverse-rotating, 90 degrees, post-image processing divided images or/and post-image processing rotated divided images. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
