<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent display element and a method of manufacturing the same capable of preventing deterioration of a thin-film transistor caused by infiltration of hydrogen at formation of an optical compensation layer for improving viewing angle characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: An organic electroluminescent display element includes: a first substrate 16 including a plurality of pixels, and a second substrate 50; a thin-film transistor formed to each pixel of the first substrate 16; color filter layers 17R, 17G, and 17B formed to each pixel; an insulating layer 26 formed on the color filter layers 17R, 17G, and 17B; an optical compensation layer 27 formed on the insulating layer 26 and made of a hydrogen non-containing substance; pixel electrodes 21R, 21G, and 21B formed on the optical compensation layer 27 of each pixel; an organic light-emission part 23 formed on the pixel electrodes 21R, 21G, and 21B to emit light; and a common electrode 25 formed on the organic light-emission part 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
