<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curvature changing mechanism of a body support structure for a chair which is increased in bending amount while keeping rigidity with favorable durability, supports a seated person with a curvature in his/her preference, and in addition is improved in sitting comfort and leaning comfort through promotion of bending deformation of the seat or the backrest, and makes the curvature variable in order to correct the user's pelvis. <P>SOLUTION: In a body support structure in which a seat 4 or a backrest 5 is mounted to a leg frame 2 or a seat receiving member 263 through a support frame 1, the seat 4 or the backrest 5 is held at both ends in their width direction. Further, the structure includes a bending member 6 having a repetitive flexibility as part of the structure of the seat 4 or the backrest 5, and a bending control member 7 for regulating the maximum bending position of the bending member 6. The bending member 6 and the bending control member 7 are superposed and supported on the support frame 1. The bending member 6 includes a rotation shaft receiving portion 8 on both sides, wherein the bending of the bending member 6 is permitted by the rotary movement of the rotation shaft receiving portion 8 when a body weight works thereon.
