RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE, AND PNEUMATIC TIRE PRODUCED USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tires having good adhesion to steel cords and high hardness, and to provide a pneumatic tire produced using the same.

SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tires is produced by mixing 0.1 to 5 pts.mass of p-hydroxybenzaldehyde and ≥0.1 pt.mass and <5 pts.mass of a novolak type phenolic resin based on 100 pts.mass of diene-based rubber containing a natural rubber. The pneumatic tire is produced using the composition as belt coat rubber.
